L6B Kit Description

The L6B kit will be available as an entire package or in individual kit stages at the customer's discretion. We are still in the process of designing and partitioning the project into those stages. Detailed stage information is now available for the kit. We think it is very good reading!

The overall L6B kit includes all the custom-designed and special components needed to build the car. This reduces the building of the car to an assembly process so the builder is not required to fabricate components.

The kit, as sold, will include the following major components and subassemblies:

  • Tubular steel frame, with integral roll cage, completely welded and painted (epoxy coated)
  • Suspension control arms, welded and powder coated
  • Aircraft grade spherical rod ends and hardware for suspension control arms
  • Suspension uprights, welded and powder coated
  • Wheel bearings with custom machined mounts and hardware
  • Wheel hubs, stub axles, halfshafts and custom machined spacers
  • Brake rotors, top hats, calipers and mounting hardware
  • Integrated pedal assembly with brake and clutch master cylinders
  • Steering rack, tie rods, steering shaft, universal joints, steering wheel and hardware
  • Springs and user adjustable or fixed-rate shock absorbers (customer option)
  • Adjustable anti-roll bars with connecting linkage. mounting blocks and hardware
  • Handbrake lever, calipers, cables and hardware
  • Complete mid-engine shifter assembly with lever, torque tube and cables
  • Custom molded seats and installation hardware
  • Seat belts, six-point racing type with installation hardware
  • Fuel cell and installation hardware
  • Dual radiators and mounting hardware
  • Engine mount system with torsional restraint , rubber cushions and hardware
  • Engine/transaxle adapter kit with flywheel and ring gear
  • Clutch kit with clutch disc, pressure plate and hardware
  • High torque (integral gear reduction) starter
  • Exhaust header, pipes and mufflers
  • Aluminum panels for cabin floor and interior
  • Custom molded body components with all hinges mounts and hardware
  • Windshield (Porsche 962 type), side windows and installation hardware
  • Headlights, tail lights, brake lights and turn indicator lights
  • Custom designed, fully integrated digital instrumentation package

Customer Furnished Equipment

Major components which are not included in the kit include:

  • Engine and accessories (Chevrolet 350 smallblock with EFI recommended)
  • Transaxle (Porsche G50-01 required)
  • Wheels (Kodiak Motorsports 3-piece racing wheels, 9 x 18 & 12 x 18 recommended)
  • Tires (Michelin MXX3 Pilot, 245/40 x 18 or 265/35 x 18 front, 335/30 x 18 rear recommended)
  • Battery
  • Misc. options such as stereo, air conditioner, GPS, communications
